Estimate what you’ll pay for a Medicare Part D drug plan in 2027: premiums plus your drug costs, up to the new $2,400 yearly cap. It also shows the month you’d reach the cap and what monthly bills would look like with the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan.
Estimate your 2027 Part D drug costs
How the estimate works
- You pay the full price of your drugs until you meet the plan’s deductible (up to $700 in 2027).
- After that, you pay your share, about 25% in the standard design.
- Once your costs reach $2,400, covered drugs cost $0 for the rest of the year.
- Premiums are added on top and don’t count toward the cap.
From 15 years in billing: the premium is only part of the story. A $0-premium plan with a $700 deductible can cost more over the year than a $40 plan with no deductible. Always compare the total.
