This Privacy Policy explains what information MedBillGuide.com (“MedBillGuide”, “we”, “us”) collects, how we use it and the choices you have. We collect as little personal information as possible.

Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, email address and message, so we can reply to you.
- Community forum: the display name you choose and the content of your posts. You do not need an account or an email address to post. If you choose to get reply notifications, we store your email address for that purpose only.
- Email newsletter or downloads (if you sign up): your email address, to send you what you requested. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Please do not send us health information, insurance member IDs, account numbers or copies of bills. We do not need them, and we cannot give personal advice about your case.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site (for example, pages viewed, time on page, general location and device type). IP addresses are anonymized. Google Analytics uses cookies.
- Security: we use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam and bots on forms. It may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details.
- Server logs: our hosting provider (Hostinger) records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.
- Cookies: we use a cookie banner (Complianz) to show which cookies we use and, where required, to ask for your consent. You can change your choices at any time using the cookie settings link on the Site.
How we use information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Service providers
We share information only with providers that help us run the Site, such as Hostinger (hosting and email), Google (analytics), Cloudflare (spam protection) and our email service if you subscribe. These providers may process data in the United States or other countries.
How long we keep information
We keep contact messages for up to 24 months, forum posts until they are removed, and newsletter data until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept according to Google Analytics retention settings.
Your choices and rights
- You can decline or withdraw consent for non-essential cookies through the cookie banner.
- You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, including your forum posts.
- Depending on where you live (for example, California or other US states with privacy laws, or the European Economic Area and UK), you may have additional rights. We honor these requests for all visitors regardless of location.

Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Health information
MedBillGuide is an educational website, not a health care provider or health plan, and we do not collect medical records. Information you choose to post publicly in the forum is visible to everyone, so please do not share private health or financial details.
