Protect your privacy

- Never post account numbers, insurance member IDs, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, full bills or anyone’s address or phone number.
- If you share a bill amount or code, remove anything that identifies you, your provider or your insurer if you are not comfortable sharing it.
Moderators may edit posts to remove personal information.
Be helpful and respectful
- Be kind. People here are often stressed about money or health.
- No harassment, hate speech, threats or personal attacks.
- Stay on topic: medical bills, health insurance and billing careers.
No spam or scams
- No advertising, self-promotion or recruiting without permission.
- No “work from home” schemes or requests for upfront fees. Real billing jobs never ask you to pay to be hired.
- Links from new members may be held for review or removed.

Posts are written by community members and may be wrong. They are not legal, medical or financial advice. Always check important decisions with your insurer, provider or a licensed professional. Staff replies are marked with a MedBillGuide badge.
